Alexa Young Innovator Challenge

Could your students aged 13-18 use technology to make a positive difference to society in 2023, plus win incredible prizes for themselves and your school? Find out in the Alexa Young Innovator Challenge!

We’re asking young people across the UK to create and code a ‘Skill for Good’ for Alexa, helping to address the societal issues that matter most to them, from climate change to homelessness and gender equality.

Tackle the challenge with the help of our FREE resources and coding walkthrough film, helping students explore artificial intelligence as they learn to use the MIT App Inventor website to code their Skill.

This challenge is ideal for STEM Clubs or lessons, plus students can enter from home. Our FREE Sharing with Families Toolkit has everything you need to share the challenge with your school community and inform parents or guardians about how to get involved.

We understand the struggles and time pressures teachers have been facing this academic year. We have extended the deadline to enter by four weeks to make sure as many students as possible can take part. Enter before 11:59pm on Friday 3rd March 2023 (extended from 11:59pm on Friday 3rd February 2023). The winning student will receive £2,500 worth of tech goodies for themselves and a £2,500 donation to their school.
